A Moment in Time

Happy 70th Birthday Wizard of Oz!

The fully restored DVD was released today in honor of it's milestone.

It surely has made a place in everyone's heart!

Has anyone ever seen The Return to Oz?

Of course it doesn't compare to the original. As a child, it scared the living day lights out of me. But there was something about it, that was intriguing.

  4. Ooooohhh!!! So THAT's why every channel played it this past weekend. Awww. It took me years to realize that the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Lion were the workers in the beginning. Love this movie. 70 years? geez.

I never caught The Return of Oz. All I can think is that it's the crazy girl from The Craft little. =)

Thanks hun for telling about the movie The Jane Austen book club! I'll see if my library has it & watch it! Thanks again for the postcard! xoxo

  11. Delightful post....hard to believe this film is 70 years old. My dear granny is turning 79 in a couple of weeks, I'm going to ask her if she saw it as a youngster when it first came out (How awesome would that have been?!!!)

Wishing you a marvelous start of October, sweet heart!

  12. Return to Oz is a very messed up sequel. It still kind of frightens me just thinking about it - although, I agree - it was full of intrigue. Thanks for the kind words on our blog!
