One year, I won a cake walk at a Halloween festival. Has anyone ever participated in one? It's like musical chairs, and the last one standing wins a cake. It is loads of fun if most people bring a cake/ baked goody to give away, then there is a variety to choose from. You can play over and over, and it ends up being more of a cake swap. Either way is fun and tasty!

Don't forget to take care of your chompers this time of year!
Bon appetit!

  1. Aww this is cute! I am a serious addict of Candy Corn. It's pretty bad cuz I'll wait til the day after Halloween and get bags for 90% in the CVS. hehe

Cake Walk? I've never heard of one. I like the sound of it!

  9. Scrumptious, so very scrumptious!!! :)

Ooohhh, I won a cake walk once, too. It was in grade school during a "family fun night" (basically an annual one night celebration for students, their parents and the teachers that my elementary school held towards the end of the school year). The participants walked in a circle that was papered with numbered squares on the floor and when the music stopped a random number was called, if you were on that number you won, and would you know it, I happened to win one time. Can't recall the cake really though, but I remember being thrilled that I won something :)

Have a super lovely day, honey!

  12. I'd always wondered what candy corn was. (Ok. Clearly not enough to get off my lazy Australian ass and just google it.... but now that you have it there...oh you know what I mean!). Mm. Not what I was picturing.
