Pretty in Pink

An inside look at the ever trendy Betsey Johnson's apartment.

As seen on
I love her kitchen! It's like the inside of a bakery.
One can only dream!

Roll Call Announcements

1. Two of my photos this week were featured on the always gorgeous and chic Dustjacket Attic's blog this week. The top photo, Italian Mist, was taken on a misty September afternoon on Lake Maggiore, Italy. The second photo, Heavenly Como, was taken on sunny afternoon on Lake Como, Italy.

Both are available at my Etsy store.

ALSO, I'm having a BUY ONE GET ONE FREE Sale this weekend, now through Sunday for all 5x7 photo prints. Take a look...

2. A big second thank you to Dusjacket Attic again for this blog award.

The rules are to list 10 things about me and pass on to 10 others.

1. I was in a Pie Eating Contest once.

2. Donald Duck was my college mascot... see if you know this little tidbit.

3. My first job was in a pizzeria.

4. I'm my mom's only child, but have a step-brother and half-sister.

5. I used to have a Nine West patent shoe fetish, but now hate wearing heels.

And drum roll for the lovely ladies I would like to pass on to in no particular order...

A few cute things and random facts from this week...

"I don't feel like an earthworm today."
-- my mom was pleased with her outfit, no muffin top popping out from her pants.

"Stroke your Docs."
--my boyfriend's boss told him this week, he's in pharmaceutical sales.

"If I don't catch you later, I'll see you from the window."
--my co-worker told me in seriousness before hanging up the phone with me, it took me a second on that one, think about it.

"If I can't be gluten free, I'll be gluten minimal."
--I told mom when I broke the 5 days with no bread or pasta, with a cupcake and sub sandwich.

"Good morning. How are you?"--me
"Good... I'm just laying in bed watching birds fly by."-- mom
--a phone conversation this week. too cute. would make a good blog name, don't ya think?
'watching birds fly by'

And here's a coincidence for those who read my Metatarsal post a few weeks ago.
I was at the grocery store this week... in flip flops.
And the darn shaving cream can fell out of basket onto to my Metatarsal.
SH**!! It hurt. I was limping in the store. My foot has been bruised all week. So I try to wear heels, we'll that didn't solve it either. Ladies... I'm at a loss. Socks are illegal in Florida, guess it's time to wear combat boot again or something.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Don't forget to make time to 'watch birds fly by'.

Blair Waldorf

Three Weeks & Counting...

I have been counting down the weeks for summer to end, just to see the fabulous fashions of Blair Waldorf on the new season of Gossip Girl beginning on Sept. 14th.

If life and fashion could only be so easy!

And wondering if the steamy "I want you--I don't want you" relationship between Chuck & Blair will continue in college. After the final scene in season 2, I was almost jumping off the couch, wishing I had a Monday night GG girl's party to share my glee, even if I am a decade too old to be this excited about such sillyness. So, I'll pretend it's only to observe the great Eric Damen & Meredith Markworth-Pollack brilliant costume designing.

Today is my BIG day...
(Monday 8/24)

My first Etsy showcase for my photography on the Art section.

But here are a few of my handmade creations I've been working on too.

The Christmas section of my store opened today, with a few items

just in the nick of time.

I'm especially excited about these raspberry colored ornaments. AND I got the supplies for the Tiffany box colored ones to be featured this week!

Is there a color scheme you would like to see?!

I love this little tree!

Set of 6 terracotta seedling pots.

Mr. Owl Banner.

Floral fabric bracelet.

I've been having fun with one of my own,

and can't wait to begin an all white one!

Hope you all had a fantastic weekend!

An Honest Post

I'm ready for the weekend... well obviously.

It's been an exhausting week. Sometimes, when life just floats on day to day I get frustrated with the everyday normalcy and crave excitement, adventure, or just something different. But then you look around and see how good you have it in comparison sometimes.

It's bad to compare to those who you think have everything, we never really know the underlying story of how they got there, or how things may be on the homefront because of it. And yes, everything could very well just be great, and that's good. I struggle with this comparison a lot and then try to switch it to being fortunate for the things I do have.

This week has been a test of change, a health scare, new job, moving, relationship issues, dependency, and bad stock picks. None of these I am personally going through (except the last one--yes I'm in finance, probably wouldn't have guessed that one.) But when those close to us go through stressful times it can take a toll and wear on you, because you wish you could make things better for them.

On this morning's commute, I heard the song, This One's For The Girls by Martina McBride. And it reminded me... I'm not alone.

So this one is for you dear blog and bloggers (my daily outlet of positive and beautiful things and people). Thank you friends. Thank you for the support and inspiration from all over the world.

And this box of Gerbera Daisies is to thank my wonderful boyfriend.

He brought me a beautiful bouquet of wild flowers this week.

He's the Best.

Have a wonderful weekend!!
