World's Most Expensive Hot Dog

Serendipty 3, New York

Recorded in the Guiness Book of World Records for The Most Expensive Hot Dog in the World at Serendipity 3 in New York City, priced at $69. At 12 inches long, this pure beef "Haute Dog" is grilled in white truffle oil, placed in a pretzel bun toasted with white truffle butter. For toppings, this dog comes with duck foie gras with black truffles. Side condiments include: black truffle Dijon mustard, carmelized Vidalia onions, and heirloom tomato Ketchup. Sounds rich, doesn't it?! (Read more HERE.)

(Speaking of truffles... I had Truffle French Fries at The Capital Grille for my birthday... fantastico!)

Bon appetit!!

  1. Holy smokes! And I thought that the $6.00 hot dogs at the ballpark were expensive.

  2. What about the $1,000 dollar Sundae they have there? We ate at their place in Las Vegas, not as quaint as the NYC place but the food and desserts were huge and wonderful! xxoo :)

  3. I'm not much of a hot dog person, but that looks pretty darn good! RICH for sure...in more ways than one!
    Have a great week,

  4. wow thats one pricey hot dog. Put truffle oil on anything and it tastes amazing though!

  5. I had hot dogs tonight...They weren't quite as exotic. HA!
